Not necessarily. Being here makes a split. It means that if we return we wouldn't return to the same timeline we left, as events are different. For example, if we assume my memory isn't altered, simply I left our world at the moment I last remember, the timeline I would exist when returning is not the same timeline that you exist in. It would have split at the point where I left, and yours would also split at the point when you left.
